This is a very interesting fellow. He covers a range such as I've not heard from an acoustic performer. Bring him back over to Ireland soon!

Perhaps Pedrock should qualify his remark. As it stands it is worthless.

I've put a couple more Nick tracks up for review on the LRC. I can fully understand the "showy" guitar and repeating hookline on this annoying a few people, it's not that typical of his work though, as I'm sure you'll agree when/if the other tracks are added.
I heard Aeroplane this afternoon. Great song. Very different to Blue Sky Thinking.

Nick Harper's website harperspace.com says it looks like he'll be gigging in the U.S. this year. He's starting a UK tour on Jan 31st too. I'd love to hear more of what he's like live.
I can tell you this - he's fantastic live! Way better than on record.

This is a fine song from the one of the poppiest, toe-tapping bunch of Scottish political agitators around. I bought the album on the strength of this song, and the first 4 numbers are fantastic, easily as good as this, but the rest disappoint, unfortunately. This, though, approaches a 10.
Scottish? I think you'll find they hail from Brighton - a bit further south!

I don't think this song is one of his best, but this man has played with Jimmy Page, don't forget, and that's some commendation.

The man's a genius on the guitar. How he creates such a full sound on an acoustic guitar is a rare thing. He and his dad Roy Harper are legend here in southern Ireland. Listen to his other albums if you don't believe it.
