The greatest god-damn 'boogie band' in the universe.

I've just been writing about this song in my memoirs. "One Tree Hill" was written for Greg Carroll, Bono's personal roadie, who was tragically killed in an accident in Dublin. He was back in New Zealand 6 months before his death, and spent an afternoon among friends at my home on Takapuna Beach. His death made that gathering even more special.

A wonderful artist. So glad he recovered after his brain aneurysm. Saw him in concert in a double bill with Steely Dan. Outstanding.

Still one of my favourite albums.

Massive Attack recently released a remastered version of this brilliant album.

Steve Winwood is one of the greats. He wrote amazing songs at the age of 16 in The Spencer Davis Group. Then came Blind Faith, before Traffic. And he continues to produce wonderful music, to this day.

Best damn boogie band in the universe. Miss Lowell soooo much!

Great double bill just announced coming to our town in October. Steely Dan and Steve Winwood.  I'm already counting the sleeps.

Karl Wallinger is one very talented musician/songwriter, and fans are so fortunate that he's made a complete recovery from a brain aneurysm that had him out of action for 5 years.

For me, their first two albums were the best.

What a voice. When Maoris in New Zealand are being tattooed by the old method, they use her singing as pain relief. I prefer it without the pain.

Gotta love "The Modfather". Paul Weller comes back to Perth for 2 concerts next month. Can't wait.

That's an "L" of a set. Led  Zepp, Lucinda, Little Feat and Lyle.

One of the great albums of the 70's, by one of the greatest artists of all time... Steve Winwood. But the title track is the piece de resistance.
