Jake Shimabukuro (born November 3, 1976) is a ukulele virtuoso and composer from Hawaii known for his fast and complex finger work. His music combines elements of jazz, blues, funk, rock, bluegrass, classical, folk, and flamenco. Shimabukuro has written numerous original compositions, including the entire soundtracks to two Japanese films, Hula Girls (2007) and Sideways (2009), the Japanese remake of the same name.
Well known in Hawai’i and Japan during his early solo career in the early 2000s, Shimabukuro became famous internationally in 2006, when a video of him playing a virtuosic rendition of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" was posted on YouTube without his knowledge and became one of the first viral videos on that site. His concert engagements, collaborations with well-known musicians, media appearances, and music production have snowballed since then. In 2012, an award-winning documentary was released tracking his life, career, and music, titled Jake Shimabukuro: Life on Four Strings; it has screened in a variety of festivals, aired repeatedly on PBS, and been released on DVD.
HAHAHAHA - Joke of the year!
I prefer the spanish-guitar version of "MY GENERATION".
Unbelievable, what some folks play and others listen to.
Ninty (90!!!!!) 10-votes for this "crime-of-a-song" confirm that RP-music is made for the wrong crowd!
No wonder that Floyd, Queen and other retirement-boppers are so popular here.
Let me see if I got this right-you spend time listening to a radio station you admittedly don't like, and you take time to write criticisms. Sounds like a fun way to spend the day.
"SHAME ON YOU", Jake+John!!
Possibly the most horrible song EVER-EVER-EVER played on this station!
RIDICULOUS...!!!!
Sorry George - Americans, you know..., they are Americans!!!!
I've heard that thorazine works wonders. Start with a larger dosage and work your way down.
It's its, not "it's".

A long time ago, a young Jake uploaded a version of himself playing this sitting on a rock in a park somewhere. (link below) A fellow guitar player told me I had to check it out. I did. And after I picked my jaw up off the floor, I watched it two more times. An amazing performance, much better I think, than his studio work (which is still great).

Holy crap, indeed. The video frame rate can't even keep up with his dang hands!
BTW, at the beginning he says he's in Central Park at the Strawberry Fields area.
Maybe you didn't stick around till the end....Jake kicks ass on this....though a few Monday's ago at work, one of the customers (an older Hawaiian dude) took out his Ukulele and serenaded the entire building with true Aloha spirit, so based on that memory and how bad as Jake gets on this, I'm going +1 to 8...LLRP and Aloha!

hahaha
maybe his co-worker is forcing him to listen and all he can do is COMMENT on the songs "here"
kinda like i force my co-workers to listen - hahahaha
fuck em
I believe your period should be inside the quotation marks.
nope - period outside is correct......period!
If you have the opportunity to see Jake perform in person, it is well worth the price of admission.
LLRP!
