Brings back a lot of good memories for me. Learned about GLB just after moving to Caliornia and was one of the first new CDs I bought when I got here way back in (gasp) 1993.

I fully agree!  Love this song.  I saw Grant Lee Phillips perform a couple years ago in Solana Beach - AWESOME set!  (Especially "Mockingbirds").  Met him after the show - very sweet guy.

Blew me away when they warmed up REM in Bris-Vegas so many moons ago. Fuzzy and Mighty Joe Moon both come out regularly but I also get into Jubilee and Copperopolis from time to time. I distinctly recall the keyboardist going absolutely nuts when I saw them on their own touring Jubilee as they played My, my, my. I still tend to hear the extra layers and enthusiasm whenever I play that tune.

This would be a great ditty without the lyrics, but the story is what makes it a truly great song, doesn't it?
