But I'll try not to speak too long
Please to be kind and I'll try to explain
I'll probably get it all wrong
What does it mean when you promise someone
That no matter how hard or whatever may come
It means that I won't give in, won't give in, won't give in
'Cause everyone I love is here
play it once, and disappear
Once in a while I return to the fold
And people I call my own
Even if time is just a flicker of light
And we all have to die alone
What does it mean when you belong to someone
When you're born with a name, and you carry it on
It means that I won't give in, won't give in, won't give in
'Cause everyone I love is here
All at once, and I'll show you how to get here
Come on now, come on now, can you feel it, I can see it in ya
Come on now, come on now, reveal it, turn around won't ya
The right time, the right place, right now, turn around
A chance is made, a chance is lost,
I carry myself to the edge of the earth
It means that I won't give in, won't give in, won't give in
'Cause everyone I love is here
Say it once, just say it, and disappear

The Finn Brothers are a New Zealand musical duo consisting of brothers Neil and Tim Finn. In June 1993 both members were awarded the OBE for their contribution to music.
The two brothers began making music together at a young age; later, when Neil was 18, he was invited to join older brother Tim in Split Enz. Neil would go on to write one of the band's biggest hits, "I Got You". Tim released his first solo album Escapade before leaving Split Enz, and the band folded soon after. Neil started his own group, Crowded House and subsequently recorded two solo albums after Crowded House split in 1996. He reformed Crowded House in 2007, releasing three albums since then. Neil and Tim have also released a series of separate solo albums.
After working on a few songs with Neil, Tim joined Crowded House for the Woodface album and accompanying tour in 1991.
They make me feel!

What amazes me is that for all their differences, when it's just the two of them, they make magic.
Bought it when it came out and got to go and listen to it all right now. Don't worry Bill, I'll be back in 60 minutes for more perfection!
When you have a chance, play 'Only Talking Sense'.
They make me feel!

For the detractors: Drive through that gorgeous country sometime with the Finns playing on the radio.
You'll understand...
Ah! That's why it sounds familiar-ish. Really diggin' it.
maybe I'm not old enough for this.
but the drum (machine?) and the bass-line is really making me...eat backwards.
at first I thought: "savage garden? on rp? please, noooo way!"
btw: this is the very first song on rp that makes me feel unpleasant while listening...and thar's a really straaaaange experience...
Don't know "savage garden."

Oh, did you miss the Yoko Ono songs? Dengue Fever? Sufjan Stevens?
Yoko...I'm sorry. Some people just shouldn't sing.

I have two fins and none is my brother. True is, I am not a stingray, I am a shark!
A long secret finally lifted!
Thank you!
