When I heard Jack White before this I thought, "hey, is that Robert Plant?" then I realized it wasn't. And when this came up, the effects of aging on his voice made it obvious that it's Robert Plant.
I've always liked AIC, and I had a very nostalgic period in my life in which I practically listened to AIC all day long, but it's the first time I've ever heard this and I'm absolutely stunned. Such a great song.
I can already hear this any time I want, I have it on me all the time, and even if I don't, I'd just use Youtube. But I think this is one of those songs that hit you hard when you're not expecting to hear them. I get goosebumps even when I come across this while I'm shuffling my Beatles playlist, so I can't imagine what I'd feel if I hear this on RP out of the blue.
I've been looping this song for a whole two days now, and I just can't get enough of it. It's just not this song that's great either, it's the whole Harvest album. I had never really appreciated Young's work up until now, and I can say that I feel a little bit ashamed because of it.
As a compensation, let me bump this up to 10 from 9, it's the least I can do besides buy the album.
When I heard the song I thought "hey, this doesn't sound so bad, in fact it's pretty good!", and when I heard Bill say that it was a Turkish band, mind = blown.
It feels so weird to have missed your own people's music and have stumbled upon in on an foreign radio station.
A catchy but bland melody, very typical of contemporary Middle East pop music. Living where I live I try hard to avoid hearing likes of this every day.
My god, will this song ever end? Don't get me wrong, I'm a prog rock fan so I have no quarrel with long songs, but this? This the same thing repeated over and over for like, 15 minutes? No thanks.
Is there a compilation album or something like that that we could find gems like these?
