Masterful instrumentals, and I love his quivery, Harrison-ish vocals. He takes chances in this song, which makes me love it more. The lyrics make me smile and shudder at the same time - it's as if he's both good and evil, holding out hope even as he points out the hopelessness.
Dang - for my first listen, this song is far more complex than I'd thought it would be...
Mazzy Star - the very definition of Ho-Hum. This woman always sounds like she's stoned out of her gourd, and has the vocal range of an orang-utan with laryngitis. Aural Valium great for early-morning insomniac FM radio but deadly during the work day
... I work the other side of the fence finding Mazzy's "aural valium" the best prescription placebo for my seemingly endless melancholic mood. Insert Margo Timmins here also.
Love a song that you originally didn't like... then you kind of liked it. Then you really liked it. Those are the best. Same goes for friends and movies I think.
I loathe hip-hop and rap (learn to feckin' sing, guys ) so if Morcheeba is hip-hop then I must unknowingly have had a life-changing conversion so dramatic it would make St Paul on the Road to Damascus look like a passing fancy. This song is smoother than mercury on ice, and that's smooth. 7 from the Nottingham jury.

you a funny guy - amongst other things...
I think he's falling over
he is getting up in the geezer territory
Hope he didn't break a hip
...Nah - just some gum on his shoe...did a bong earlier...it happens.
It's that place, you know, over there...where things are better if you could only get there. Your doctor won't know where it is, only you know that.
...and it does affect cell coverage in Quebec and Utah
