This was on the favourite playlist in the car when our family was heading up the Aussie north coast on camping trips from when my daughter was a little baby. she's now 17 and about to finish school and it's one of her favourite songs.  Recently read in the RP comments that hearing is our first sense, how true

My favourite INXS song and evokes so many great memories of parties and live gigs in the 80s. Aussie pub rock was at it's peak. INXS, Angels, Hunters and Collectors, Spy v Spy, Oils, Radiators, Aussie Crawl, Chisels etc etc. So many great bands

Went to their last farewell tour concert recently at the Hordern Pavillion in Sydney with my 16 year old daughter. They played for over 3 hours and went through their whole catalogue. Pete has still got the moves at 69.  It was beautiful symmetry as they were the first concert I ever went to at the same venue when I was the same age as my daughter.  One of the best live acts you could ever hope to see. The emoji is the closest approximation of Pete's dancing I could find

This song brings back memories of one of my best mates absolutely broken hearted by who he thought was his one true love breaking up with him. He was my flatmate at the time and I can still hear him singing Black from the very depths of his soul back in the early nineties. To end the story on a happy note he ended up marrying another true love and is raising a beautiful family.

Patti Smith (L) smiles as the Dalai Lama speaks to the crowd during her performance on the Pyramid Stage as he visits the Glastonbury Festival of Music and Performing Arts on Worthy Farm near the village of Pilton in Somerset, South West England on June 28, 2015.

I was lucky enough to see her on one of the side stages at Glasto 1999 at 11pm on the Saturday. Was able to get right up the front as only a small crowd. Couldn't believe my luck to see such an absolute legend up close

Never been first to comment. Only like to say positive things about the good humans who make music. So sounds pretty good for driving long stretches. BTW who's the singer?

1989 Sydney Ent Cent. My mates and I  were all about to finish school. We'd been waiting forever for U2 to come to Oz. The red lights glowing as the intro kicked in. Pure bliss. Lived up to all of our long held expectations
