You are not allowed to criticize this guy. He was in a documentary with Jimmy page and The Edge, and talked abut guitar playing. That means he's a great guitar player, and a great musician, and a great song writer.
"It Might Get Loud" Crazy good movie. The beginning shows Jack White make an electric guitar by hand and play it. What??
Every so often a pop song from my yoof appears on my YouTube feed. Without fail if I look at the comments there will be treasure trove of "when music was made by people and not machines" or "I was so lucky to have grown up in the 60's etc" or " there is no good music being played anymore". It just pisses me off at how so many people have locked themselves into the "Old Time Rock n Roll" mindset. So every so often I try to challenge these notions by pointing them to Billie as an example of great music of today.
In my opinion this old is better mindset is nothing new as evidenced by the rise of "Classic Rock". But if you never want to turn into the "get off my lawn" guy you need to actively seek out new and interesting music. It can have so many benefits. For me Radio Paradise does just that. So from this 61yr old fart thanks Bill and Rebecca Long live RP...
Rant over normal content will resume...😁🙏
I am old. Radio Paradise opens new music to me on a daily basis, expanding my appetite. My philosophy on music . . . does it sound good, invoke emotion, make me crave for more? yes, yes and yes.
The The? Yes. Yes? No, The The. Who? No, not The Who, The The. The what now? I said The The. Who? Screw it, Its frikkin Robbie Robertson. Wasn't he in The Band? Which band? THE Band. Yes. No, not Yes, The Band. Do they sing August and September? They sing all year round. Isn't that a book by Ann Druit? Yes. Crypes, nevermind. Nirvanna? Whats on the radio? TV.
1975? Wow, way ahead of their time. Maybe he grew up and became No-Man?
The album is titled 1975. It was released in 2021.
