This song sounds really good driving with the top down through the redwoods on Skyline and out highway 84 to the ocean & highway 1. Not very African, but hey, it works.

no thank you.

But this song *is* unmusical and pretentious. Do I have to go to cc, too? What if I like Yat-Kha and give money to the Patchouli Preservation Society? Does that make a difference? Just wondering. samiyam wrote:

Ok, I like unusual transitions as much as anyone, but going from Carbon Leaf doing Mary Mac to this is just so very jarring iPod-ish full random. But, with that said, this is a rare occurrance and not so much a complaint as an anomaly. With the vast range that is played here, it is commendable that train wreck segues don't happen much more often.

After spending far too much hunting this down, I've found that this song is on their newest studio album, Tuva.Rock, which is not available in the US. Cool stuff. loveslave wrote:
No, it's not on "Yenisei Punk". I have that one, and this is the first time I've heard this song, so it must be from somewhere else.

Michael, we hardly knew ye. Thanks for sharing what you did with us. Nice to hear 'New Age' music from the time it held such promise (long time gone)

Sounds like she got her hands on a Beta copy of Garageband. Just in case my comment might be ambiguous... I say 'Ni!' to this and call it a silly thing.

This is pedestrian Santana. Too bad he has not ventured beyond pop on more occasions.

At first listen... Ick After due consideration... Yuck Conclusion... Pap Postscript... I think the salsa in this guy is stewed tomatoes with no salt or spice of any kind with stale salt-free soda crackers.

Actually, no. Roseanne's mother is not the late June Carter Cash. Roseanne Cash is the daughter of Johnny Cash and his first wife, Vivian Liberto. Her parents separated when she was very young. She grew up with her mother in California. Patrick wrote:
"Her mother's side" is one of the icon families of Nashville music. No, there's no problem there. I happen to think JC's abilities add to it, also.

ok i never really ever liked this guy much, but now all i hear is a bad toilet paper commercial. damned by his own unique fad-ish sound, the sellout becomes the cutout. hey kids, cd's for 99 cents a pound.

Great, great stuff... One of the best albums ever. The live version with Paula Cole in the Kate Bush role is excellent as well.

Thanks for the Pat Metheny, Bill! May we have some more, please?

Give me more Morphine, Bill! tee-hee

This is the only bright point on the disc. The rest of it is pure muddled vanilla.

Patty, Patty, Patty. Man, she has the goods and delivers with power and nuance in the lyrics, the music and especially with the voice.

Sounds like she had a beta copy of Apple's Garageband.

I like these guys, this CD and this song. Glad I'm not hearing the overplayed Stacy's Mom. My current fave song on this disc is Halley's Waitress.

Both One Nil and One All are worth a listen, IMHO. Neil is one of the best out there bar none.
