The quality of my afternoon just shot up 100 fold. Thank you whoever uploaded this!! I hadn't even realized how much RP needed more Depeche. And great to hear something recent, not just a "classic."
i totally agree 100%. my respect for their earlier work increased when i heard the innovation of their newer stuff. i LOVE this and, "Songs of Faith & Devotion". how is, "Exciter"?

w/ this song, and w/ "black" - and some others on their first disc, and VS, 'vedder did *SUCH* a good job of conveying the emotion of his lyrics. this is one of those songs that, if you have ever felt what he's feeling when he sings some of these lines, you just get that lump in your throat.

OMG. I love this song and that's an understatement. Amazing harmonies and phrasing. This is probably my favorite Emily song from this disc. Seriously, if you don't have it yet, GET IT!! GET IT NOW! :goodvibes:
i agree. i don't own any indigo girls myself, but i've been around too many people who listen to IG constantly. heh. and considering all i have heard, i would have to say that w/ this album they have really broken some new ground and continued to refine their sound. this album is IMO their best produced so far.

The album is also a sort of soundtrack for the book House of Leaves, which her brother wrote, and which is also, in similarly sophisticated ways, a sort of elegy for their father. Hell of a book, too.
man, i've always loved the story behind this album. i'll have to check that out. this is also yea; one of my fav. albums. -- not just for the music, but the production, the story, how everything unfolds -- just excellent.

i've gotta support the fact that more than just garth brooks and hanson comes out of oklahoma - and give these guys a 9. it's an excellent album, and i am excited to see that there is a DVD version out now; will have to drop that on to my amazon wish list asap.

a STRONG departure for this duo. when my fiancee got this album and we were listening to it at home, we did a double take, stared at eachother for a couple minutes, then at the CD player, then at eachother again... heh. but yea. great song, and a very good, solid album. :D/

you know...i know as a music enthusiast type, my taste and respect for the classics, etc. dictate that i should love this guy, this song, etc. and so on. but i just don't.

robert smith of the cure once stated in a concert program that this was his favorite band. after seeing that, i went out and bought this album to see why; and man, was i impressed. banco de gaia, esp. this album, deserves much respect. great music to drive to!
