My God! To go from Alison and the Cheiftans to The Sundays. Man, you are making my Friday! If you followed this up with some Damien Rice, I think I'd die from pure blis! Say what you will about the quieter music... I love the Sundays. Loved them since 12th Grade when I saw them on MTV's 120 Minutes. Good times!

There is something in the composition that is in common with that soundtrack. I had forgotten this was Glass and thought it was a D.A. ST.

I had the same thought!  I was like "Bill, dropping a little Downton into my morning!  Sweet!"

I saw Ani DiFranco at The Philadelphia Folk Fest in 1992.  She looked like the complete opposite of every performer who took the stage that year.  Wonderful and spontaneous, I really enjoyed her music.

The best part was when she first got on the stage, she told everyone that Festival people had asked her to not curse because it was an afternoon show and there were lots of families in the crowd.  "So I'll watch my fucking language," she told everyone.

This music, though I love it, always makes me feel like I'm about to have a heart attack by the time it ends.  The build of it has a way of creeping up my anxiety little by little throughout the whole song.

It's like a fucking stress test.

And I just failed again.

Perfect for a Tuesday Python-Coding, Final Project of College-Finishing Afternoon.

Thanks Bill!

There's this sound in the background that reminds me of Pink Floyd's Echoes.  That ominous wind sound...

This is one of those songs by Oasis that is utterly annoying... except when covered by anyone else other than Oasis.

I was just thinking, as the song began, can Vedder bring the intensity and then he belted it out! Wow! Love Pearl Jam, love The Who... love this!

I agree! I totally forgot how great this song is until I just came back in my office to hear it playing. This album got stolen from me long ago and I really, really miss it. Who steals a Sting album?

From Radiohead to Sarah... just plain yummy!

I like your suggestion a lot! softjeans wrote:
Not me, that's for sure. Here's a suggestion: Have RP compile all those great songs in its vaults unavailable in the real world, track down the surviving artists responsible, offer them a fair deal, and sell a Greatest Unknown Hits of Radio Paradise. Whaddya think?

To go from Somewhere over the Rainbow to Jeff Buckley's haunting Hallelujah... amazing! Pure genius. I wish that the DJs that are on the radio stations I listen to had but one tenth of your talents, Bill. RP forever!

I really like this new CD! I bought it this weekend having heard a few tunes on RP and man I wasn't let down! It's so much fun and just feels like you are rehearing the songs for the first time!

God! This is a fantastic song! It's so haunting and wonderful and... Wow! What another treasure revealed to me by Radio Paradise!

Yeah, this song rocks! It's got this great groove and then to follow it up by the Femmes! Man, Bill, you are rocking the house. I'm just sitting at my desk at work, grooving and shaking! Oh, and then to put the Magic Numbers on! Good stuff!

You can say a lot of things about Elton John -- and I mean a lot -- but you can't deny the genius of this song. It's just breathtaking!

I swear the instrumental part of this song is one of the Rock Theme you can choose a ride to play on Roller Coaster Tycoon! That's freaky!

I love The Sundays and I love this song. I discovered them on MTV's 120 Minutes many, many moons ago and I was like, "Man, that lead singer is hot! She's a babe!" I bought there album Blind and have been in love with them ever since! Thanks RP!

Awww Man! I loved this CD, the Twin Peaks Soundtrack. I lost it years ago and this was one of my favorite songs on it. Thanks for playing this Bill. Long live Twin Peaks!
