A thing of true beauty. Thanks for sharing it with us. I wish I had been listening when you played 21st century schizoid man!

"He's a one way rider, on the shriek express, and his new best friend is at the throttle more or less." Yes, ANOTHER drug themed tune from the Dan, but one that actually addresses addiction without romanticizing. Pretty catchy, too. The album TWO AGAINST NATURE continues to gain with each listening
Romantism and Steely Dan are mutually exclusive. How about drippingly sarcastic?

Great tune. I would like to hear more from Making Movies, though. Cliff Eiberhert has a soulfoul version of Romeo & Juliet, as well.

I wouldn't mind hearing Morphine, myself!! Great band.

So beautiful and full of meaning - aurally and lyrically. These guys were special -- not that there have been any bad Finn recordings since then! Keep em coming!

I appreciate you playing this!

What a fantastic musician! In some interview with Hendrix, Jimi is reported to have said that Keaggy was the greatest guitar player alive. He's in contemporary christian music, so he is relatively obscure. His vocals are a lot like Paul McCartney, howerever. He is a master of the eBow and all sorts of stuff.

This band is heavily influenced by the Beatles, but maybe more by John Lennon. Either way, they have the songwriting craft down to an art. Try either of the Apple Venus recordings -- they are amazing!

Fantastic! Where else can you hear great stuff like Kate Bush!

I think it's pretty good, but like the album produced by Rick Okasak (sp?) better.

He's the real deal!

Such a great band! Ethereal, pyschadelic, ambient -- and clever!

Is this on Real World? Are Peter, Manu, Dave & Tony around there somewhere? Not that it sounds like a ripoff. I love it! Keep it coming , Bill.

She (and T-Bone) are great! The album before this one may sound dated (some production things), but it is great songwriting -- and timely in content, actually. I think the one after this one (Martinis & Bikinis) is called Omnipop. It is fantastic. I met her in Jackson, MS outside of her bus in 95. She cut her set early b/c of monitor problems. She and T-Bone played "I Need Love" for about 8 of us out at their bus. It was an "all's right with the universe" kind of night! She had a whole other career as Leslie Phillips in the 80's (Christian music - but don't hold it against her. She was edgy for that Nashville scene, even then). T-Bone has a great album called something like "Man under the White Hat" It is something.
