Love the original by Townes Van Zandt. Hate this cover!
Carmelita - Warren Zevon

My favourite version is on Flaco Jimenez's album "Partners" Warren and Flaco do a much livelier version together.
This House Is on Fire - Natalie Merchant

OK, haven't we heard this on often enough this year? Can you give it a break for a few months?
Run Primo Run - Chuck Prophet

I like it. Reminds me of Jonathon Richman and the Modern Lovers. How about digging out some Modern Lovers Bill?
Where the Streets Have No Name - U2

I think the song is just fine, but getting very overplayed here, as it was on commercial radio when it came out.
Chinese Bones - Robyn Hitchcock & The Egyptians

More Robyn Hitchcock. How about "Underwater Moonlight"
Everybody Hurts (Live) - R.E.M.

Nothing worse than having to listen to a tone deaf audience. I'd much rather listen to the studio version.
Jumping Someone Else's Train - The Cure

Saw them live in a small pub in Winnipeg the summer they released this album. Thought they were fantastic. Still love the album. Thoroughly disappointed with everything they did afterwards.
Salvation - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

Yawn . . .
Canned Goods - Greg Brown
Posted 23 years ago by jdehls:
Oh shut up already, Greg, and play some music! Snore....
Seek Up - Dave Matthews Band
Posted 23 years ago by jdehls:
Starts off OK but after a while I just want to scream "enough already."
Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm - Crash Test Dummies

Christ, I had to shutdown Winamp. Please never play these guys again. That voice is sickening.
