So many pretentious RP wine sniffing zep haters out there. I guess yea, this song is a little on the cheesy side. But wait, it was the 70s when this song came out, this sound flew ok then along with a lot of other poop with wings on coke. For me, this song takes me back to one damn fine gal when I was in HS... she loved it, I loved IT! I'm going to close my eyes now...
My guilty pleasure band, this whole album is great. My girlfriend way back then gave me this album and I loved it, still do. And the Hootie and the Blowfish album too, why not?
This is better than a 6.9, folks. Makes me feel guilty for only having it rated an 8. I saw Tracy open for Catherine Wheel ~15 years when she was touring her 2nd album - great show!
You’re right, bumped 8-10. I loved this song when I first heard in here on RP, bought the album and it still stops me in my tracks. It’s fucking brilliant!
In 2002, if my math is correct, Plant was 54. Why you would expect him to be still reprising his Led Zep era vocals at that age is beyond me. This is lovely, and a fitting evolution of one of the very best vocalists who has ever graced our world.
It must have been 20 years ago I saw Sir Robert perform this song at the end of his set. Alone on stage, a capella he silenced the entire venue with every breath. My wife a die hard Zep fan was blown away. There were plenty of Zep riffs played that night with his amazing band but this song was a highlight.
What an unconventional approach to song writing and structure. Is that what happens when a bas player writes a song...maybe so maybe not, definitely when it is Phil! RIP, keep everyone on their toes up there.
Love it or hate it, this one is definitely a long strange trip.
What just happened, Old Laughing Lady > Four Three
That was the most seamless mix I've ever heard. Bill (or Rebecca or whoever is responsible for that), you're a DJ ninja. You just earned yourself another donation. Nice work!
okay enough already of the stripped down bare naked sleepy versions of great songs. I'm not saying it's bad, just I'm hearing too many of them on radio Paradise anymore. Give the originals and new music some love. Or is there just not that much of that out there now, maybe that's the deal?
This, following Slave to the Wage. Oh Bill, you are freaking so brilliant. Donation coming soon. Times are a little bad for me now, but it's coming. Consider this a pledge for my salvation. Radio Paradise, I love you!

This album is a true masterpiece, an amazing expression of feelings through art. And it included one song that happened to be catchy pop and it opened up the world to Tori. Good for her! Love it, hate it all you want.
Timeless music, a masterpiece. I can't really describe how good this song is. My daughter at 10 yrs old used this song to choreograph her own ballet routine and then performed it solo in front of our entire "church". One of the bravest things I've witnessed.
If you are a Tull fan you need to get your hands on the 20 years of Jethro Tull boxset, the 4 cd/tape/vinyl version... not the condensed 12 track version. Saw that concert in '89, now they did a 40 years of Jethro Tull tour this year. Amazing band standing the test of time. On another note, saw Ian Anderson playing a duet with an astronaut while she was in space. Of course it was a Jethro Tull tune. How cool!?
Neil is a great singer, his voice is just unique.
If I had know she was going to be in the area, I would have gladly bought a ticket.
Nominated for a '24 Grammy, would be nice to see her break through the muck.
