This is Abigail Washburn playing with the sparrow quartet. Besides being a mean banjo player she also has the voice of an angel. If you ever get the chance to see her, DO.
The album is much like this song, keeping in mind that some of the songs are in Mandarin and have something of an Asian feel. The two banjos lend themselves nicely to that kind of music.
Instead, it's a 0.9
Also, maybe Bela thinks that if there are enough banjo notes per second, he can drown out his girlfriend's sucky singing and save her from embarrassment. Hint: it's not working.
And you people claim to actually like music...
Not your typical banjo picker, Abigail Washburn is fluent in Mandarin. In fact, some of her compositions have Chinese lyrics and use Chinese musical modalities. The quartet is in Beijing now and Abigail is writing a blog for Paste magazine about the experience. The Sparrow Quartet will perform for the opening of the new American embassy in Beijing. In the photo below, they can be seen practicing their diplomatic decorum.
On first listen, I like it too.
I'm down with superflyLD on this one. Simply horrendous.
Maybe its' all music written /composed by her, and she's directing the quartet to do her bidding. Musically , that is.
Or, maybe they got a record deal with a big company and they wanted to know "Which one's Pink?"
Apparently, the band itself is just Sparrow Quartet. The album itself is called Abigail Washburn & The Sparrow Quartet. Why that is, I cannot say. Oh, and Abigail is part of the quartet.
Also, what is the "D Word" that Bill would not say?

I bet Wikipedia knows.
