My mom died a year ago at 59, She gave up on life by slowly poisoning herself with opiates and barbituates and nicotine, knowing what she was doing. She just didn't wake up one day.
She wanted this song played at her memorial when she died. The family overruled the song not ready to let go.
I still have a hard time forgiving her for giving up. I miss her.
I love this station! I am always learning things. I heard sounds of Mark Knopfler so I tuned in and learned Peter Green was an original founder of Fleetwood Mac and suffered severe mental illness. Who knew?
I do not get it. What is the big deal? The voice is average and sounds like every other young woman singer of the last 10 years! Nothing interesting here.
I agree - Neko Case, Patty Griffin, Joan Osbourne, Melissa Etheridge, Beth Orton... They all have something in common - whiny voices. It grates on my nerves. I really wish there was less of it here. I come here for variety.
bump to the top, it would serve us well if we all stopped and thought a little bit more of our position in life.
I have known two people this week who died suddenly, too young and too full of life. I literally JUST had this conversation with someone, about living life now, not tomorrow. 5 minutes later this song came on.
It just goes to show how much your mood can affect how much you enjoy a song. I had previously rated this a 3. I am still not totally in love with it, but today it is at least a 6!

I agree, I just can't get over the guys voice. It grates.
AND the PSD button isn't working.

I agree it is one of those songs that make you stop what you are doing and investigate!
