As others have said, this whole album is GREAT. So is _A New Day at Midnight_, and y'know for the most part his new _Life in Slow Motion_ is good too. Especially "The One I Love." But maybe I'm just a diehard David Gray fan. :)

What can I say? I love this song. So many good memories tied up with it.

This song is one of the reasons I love Patrick Watson.

Hear, hear. I quite agree.

That was lovely.

I am continually endeared to the banjo. ;)

Sounds like Grey's Anatomy music. Is she on any of the Grey's soundtracks? I'm definitely liking it.

Absolutely lovely.

Shawn Colvin - (Looking For) The Heart of Saturday Night
Norah Jones - The Long Way Home

Two Tom Waits covers in a row. Nice stuff!

Bill's intro to this song reminded me how much I need to hear Tom Waits originals on a whole bunch of songs... This is off-topic to Norah Jones (who I am a big fan of) but can anyone recommend a good Tom Waits album to one who has heard quite a number of his songs but owns none of his albums?

Lovely introspective autumn work-day music. Suits my mood and present work perfectly. Thanks Bill.

Neil may be a great song writer, but damn, does he have to SING?

I have to agree...but I used to think that of Bob Dylan too, and I've gained an appreciation, so maybe I'll learn to like Young too?

I never used to like Dylan but after catching some of the verses of this song and looking up the rest of the lyrics, it gets a ten. Thanks Bill, I continue to learn.

Does other Decembrists music sound similar? If so, I think I need to invest...

We're having a European-style breakfast here with bakery bread, crepes, croissants, chablis and my special recipe New Orleans coffee and chickory. As soon as this playlist started coming thorugh the speakers, everybody quieted down, sat down with coffee mugs or chablis glass in hand, and listened quietly. Thanks, you two.

Mm you're making me hungry. What a lovely way to start the day—the breakfast and the music!

Sounds an awful lot like Martyn Joseph—which is a good thing!

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. It's really too bad.

Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave & a little bit of Tom Waits in a blender... Actually like it... will check it out later today.

I absolutely agree. After the first line I thought it was Leonard, second line Tom Waits. Odd but interesting.

We bought this album off Amazon by accident...and are not quite sure what we think of it yet. This song isn't too bad though.
