Thank you, wenatchee for putting into words the feelings I have about this travesty of a favorite song of mine.  This sounds like Peter & Ndour were bonding over some major weed and in a moment of delusion thought they'd just just "jam on out" and take  the crowd on their trip.  Bad trip, bad choice, bad version.  SIgh....{#Wall}

Nope. Not feeling this one at all. The strings are scary.  But thanks for offering a chance to hears this, Bill.  Raised my monthly donation too. Your station is an oasis in an ever encroaching music desert. Thanks.

This is one of the best opening for a song!  That chunky percussion and the echoing guitar sliding in  LOOOVE it!

I actually prefer Leo's version.  I think part of the reason is just being over-exposed to Fleetwood Mac's version.

Perfectly sharing my opinion and feelings.  And the mandolin is of shimmering beauty.

This is very smooth and melodic.  I love  the line about "I love the feel of your body under me."  MMMMMMMMMM

I was just wondering where the Talking Heads were.  Lots of their music makes me happy and twitchy.  Thanks, Bill!

I'm in the "meh" zone{#Rolleyes}....Why am I not feeling this?  Grabbed me at the start then seemed to go no where except for that noodly guitar break{#Guitarist}

LOVin' this.  Bouncing to the bass line, wriggling to the celtic instruments and singing to the chorus.  I never heard this before and I gotta get it.  Thanks RP for broadening and exciting my music experience!!!

After James wailing on "Sometimes"  The Dead are so dead to me.  I've just never learned to appreciate more than one or two of their songs and not any with the plinky plink out front like this.  Ah well.  {#Rolleyes}

Great observation Jesspra.

No, but that is exactly who I thought it was when I first heard James vocalist Tim Booth.
However, the Water Boys were fronted by Mike Scott.

Both bands, James and The Waterboys existed at the same time.

Both are great!

Me too!  And they both give me chills.....Fisherman Blues a Waterboys high point for me!
