I don't mind listening to that when I'm drunk, but I'm here in the office, so you see the problem, by the time I find some booze  and get in the right state
the song will be over.
So basically Bill, can you give us some notice for this kind of song?
Or maybe you could play it every Friday evening at 11:30 British time (that's when we come back home pissed after the pubs have closed).
Trying to figure out what time it will be in California but I'm starting to be tipsy... Come on Eileeeeen...

I remember being amazed by the sound quality of this record. I think it was the first time I saw a DDD CD.

It always amazes me when I hear 80's pop sounding so good 40 years on, especially with synths, as many bands didn't aged that well...

How do you not headbang on this track?

I'm biased, because of all the new music and artists RP has introduced to me, Porcupine Tree and Steven Wilson are my favorite, but I'm amazed that 44 people could have rated this song a 1 out of 10.

I assume those giving this the lowest rating is from people who dislike PT, and are unhappy that Bill and RP play a lot of PT.  But imagine hearing this song for the first time without any previous knowledge of PT.  Would you really think the song (which admittedly is my favorite of many PT songs I rate 9-10) is Sucko-Barfo?  Worse than 2-Marginal?

Enough of evangelism, since I realize evangelism usually has the opposite of the desired effect.
...
But really?  A 1?  {#Ask}

My guess is that people vote 1 to try lowering the average of songs they find overrated. Not sure it works though, it may even be counter productive if the algorithm is clever enough.

For a second I though it was King Crimson or Robert Fripp...

Great memories... Almost nobody in the UK  seems to knows this band, or any of these 80s "euro pop bands" that were ultra popular on the continent.

A month ago I was walking by a pub close to where I live in Twickenham,UK when I heard this band playing. The sound quality made me decide to go inside and I was really impressed by their music: vibrant Jazz with touches of Rock, Blues and Funk. They played very tight, with an amazing flow and their enjoyment was contagious. I decided to buy their CD and checked their website www.paddymilner.com These young lads are from North London, and they are attracting increasing interest in England, Germany and in particular in France where they are the best selling Jazz band in Paris Virgin Megastore and #4 in the French national Jazz chart. They are starting to play in the best Jazz clubs in Paris and London. I'm glad to say though, that they are still playing at the "Red Lion" in Twickenham. I hope you enjoy this track. Let me know if you want me to upload more.

Like the rest of REM, this song is a real piece of crap!

you gave a 1 to 27 REM songs, that's what I call dedication ;-)     problem is you totally ruined your credibility by giving a 1 to "John Lenon - Imagine".

I saw this guy this summer.  He's good live!

I must have seen another Ray LaMontagne, it was in January 2007 ago in Newcastle (UK) and he looked really depressed, the show was so soporific that the Geordie croud had to tell him to cheer up and crack jokes. "supporting" artist was Leona Naess which I love to listen to, unfortunately she was as depressing as Ray, I felt sorry for them. Because I really like Leona I went to see her live the next year and it was horrible, I will keep listening to her but certainly not live again.

What?!?! I rated this song a 2!? how could it be? Must move it down to a 1 immediately!
Out of 15 songs you've rated "1-Sucko Barfo" 7 are from Porcupine Tree... that's what I call dedication! You admitted you rated one song based on the cover. In one of your post you even said they are wankers! Why do you hate them so much?

Thank you so much Kazuma for your very appropriate replies. Ignorance is a terrible thing as it generates so much negative feeling such as fear and anger. So many people capitalise on it though, it's too tempting, too easy to use in order to alienate people. I've recently come accross some of Bill O'Reilly's propaganda and it is sickening. I'm glad that it is not fooling/fouling everybody though. I'm French and not specially proud of it, but I'm proud to be on the same planet as you.
